While all agencies contracted with to provide Statewide search information profess to updating their databases on a daily basis, in actuality it may take weeks, or months for a disposed case to appear in a particular index. This is largely due to caseload backlog, different county to State reporting intervals, tardiness on the part of specific counties, as well as general neglect. Statewide systems vary in the amount, type and quality of information reported from individual counties within the state, as well as the regularity with which information may be reported. Some counties do not report at all to a State level database, and therefore geographic, and date range gaps may result in the information reported.
